Devan 1st Birthday!

Devan has officially turned 1 year old! Okay, it happened a month ago and I'm just getting around to posting it. He had a couple of birthday cakes (did you know most grocery stores will do a free 1 year cake?) and it certainly didn't take him long to figure out how to dive in. This kid loves cake!

New Favorite Past Time

This is Whitney and a new favorite past time... shaving cream!!! She loves to apply it just like daddy does!

Grandma's House

Just hanging out here at Grandma Rosenlund Baggs' House. Whatever keeps him entertained, has got to be good!

Mudd Time

Normally Mom would freak out over this type of behavior... on a Sunday... in a dress. But this time, it was just too cute to resist!

Song and Dance

We had just returned home from a "date" to find Whitney doing this... It went on for 15-20 minutes but we gave you the shortened version. The only words we could make out of her song are about half way through and they include, "gwampa, gwampa, excuse me, I poop, excuse me, I poop, gwampa, gwampa..."

Family Scripture Study

We thought this was cute... while she's not usually so involved in scripture study, the temple is her favorite thing. She loves to talk about Daddy and Mommy going to the temple, and how she can't go herself quite yet. She also talks about church quite frequently. She points out the "church" or the "temple" every time we drive by one... which is pretty frequent here in Utah.

Where's money go?

This video was taken down in St. George in our hotel room. Whitney had money, and then she didn't. Apparently she needed a bedtime snack.

Yogurt Painting

Whitney has just recently started doing this with her food. It's uh... fun?!

Rosenlund Family Reunion

Brittany's side of the fam went to St. George this year. If you've never been to Tuacahan, it's highly recommended (by Brittany anyway... you will hear a different opinion from Ron...guaranteed!) We all went for a climb up the "red rocks" and it was sure windy but a great view.

Nap Time = Essential

Obviously nap time is very important in our house. When Whitney doesn't get a nap, this is the sort of thing that happens at dinner time.... and how mean is her mother for recording it!?

Mom made cookies... sugar cookies with really bright colored frosting. Whitney loved it!

Happy Mother's Day!

Sunday, Ron and I were making sugar cookies. Whitney was in and out of the room and Devan was sleeping. We told Whitney that she needed to go take a nap before church but neither of us took the time to stop what we were doing and put her in bed. About 15 minutes later, Ron and I started to wonder if she’d really gone to bed because we hadn’t seen her. Ron walked into the living room and right back into the kitchen and calmly said, “Brittany, come here, we have an emergency.” I walked into the living room to find Whitney in Jennifer’s chair, with an entire bottle of sprinkles, covering the chair, covering her face and hands, and slowly but surely dissolving into red stain. Ron and I couldn’t help but smile and move her to the tub. Happy Mother’s Day to me!

Easter Pics

We went to Grandma's house for Easter. Had a fun easter egg hung and decorated eggs. Mom let Whitney help drop the dye tabs into the water/vinegar mixtures so that we could get some fun colors. First things Whitney does is pop one in her mouth! Nice!

Grandma's Jacket

An early morning walk called for a makeshift jacket (since Mom never seems to pack one!) she looks like the Statue of Liberty!

Chores

Whitney has chores. Yes, even at less than 2 years old. Her job is to put the silverware away every day. It makes for an interesting time... but a good learning experience! Shet takes it very seriously!

Layton Hills Mall

Layton Hills Mall has the cutest play area. There is a KSL new stand with a TV in front of it where the kids can see themselves! How fun is that?! At least Mom got a kick out of it! 0
